What will I listen to today?

Here is the latest on my playlist

The Beatles are surely the most influential musical group ever. IMHO. Here is a list of some of their best to play and remember. Download from iTunes if you wish. Or just enjoy the snippets on this list. Its fun.
At the same time that the Beatles were the darlings of British Rock. The Rolling Stones were cast as the bad boys. They loved it and so did millions around the world. Check out this list of incredible Stones tracks. A British Rock invasion 50 years later. LOL Enjoy.

Today its a day for some blues. Texas Blues. ZZTop and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I had the pleasure of seeing ZZTop in concert in Sydney years ago. Unfortunately I didn’t have that same pleasure for Stevie Ray. In my play list I included a couple of his covers of Hendrix. SRV certainly did a good job on Hendrix I think.

Isn’t it crazy that the drummer of ZZTop, the one with out the beard, his last name is BEARD. LOL Enjoy my Texas Blues playlist. I did.

Journey and REO Speedwagon

Journey just happened to be on VH1 and I was fortunate to see Neal Schon and Johnathon Cain with the rest of the new Journey playing live in concert. The new lead singer, Arnel Pineda, is a great replacement for Steve Perry and the band seems to thrive on his energy. So today I am inclined to listen to Journey firstly.

Straight after that was the REO Speedwagon concert. Kevin Cronin can still do it too. An interesting side note for Aussie fans is that REO Speedwagon’s lead guitarist Dave Amato played on Jimmy Barnes’ “Working Class Man” album.
